In October 2022, Francesca was home from Chicago for her friend, Shideh's, wedding weekend. On that Friday night, she was on Hinge when she stumbled upon Matts profile. As she scrolled through his pictures, thinking he was cute, she noticed that she knew one of the friends in his pictures: Ryan Rutledge. Being that Francesca was only home for 2 days, she thought whatever - Ill just swipe right & see what happens.

They did match & exchanged a few messages - really only talking about how they knew Ryan. Francesca knew him through work at Medline; Matt knew him since grade school, still one of his best friends. Matt eventually asked to take Francesca out the next time she was in town, however, that never happened.

Fast forward to January 2023, Francesca was in San Diego for a work conference & was talking with Rutledge. He asked what happened between her & Flohre - Francesca reported nothing, they never actually met in person. That night, Ryan called Matt & (from what Fran has gathered), knocked some sense into him. :)

Francesca made a trip back to Dayton for work a couple weeks later & they met up for dinner! They immediately clicked & have been together since! Initially, their relationship was long-distance as Francesca still lived in Chicago. By the end of 2023, Francesca took a territory in Cincinnati (thanks to the help of Ryan) which allowed her to move to Dayton & for them to really start their lives together.

Matt proposed to Francesca on Feb 1st of this year, at his favorite place, Sugar Valley. He was able to pull off a perfect surprise, proposing on the 9th hole at sunset with their friends & family waiting to celebrate after!

The last 1.5 years creating their life in Dayton has been so fun! They just bought a house in Oakwood & cannot wait for the next chapters to come!
