Is there a room block?

Yes, please reference the Travel tab of our website. There is a block of rooms available at the Hyatt House. We encourage you to book quickly as May is considered high peak season & we only have a limited number of rooms available!

What if I dont want to stay in Downtown Charleston?

You are welcome to stay wherever you would like! However, please be aware that Ubers/Lyfts will be about a 30 minute ride & will be about $50+ each way if you are staying across one of the bridges or at a beach. We unfortunately cannot offer Uber codes to offset that cost. There will also not be any available/designated parking at the venues should you choose to drive. Please consider & factor in traffic to your commute times!

Can you help me get early check in for our hotel room?

Unfortunately, we cannot arrange that for you. You will need to call Hyatt House directly and ask for early check in or late check out if needed!

What flight should I book?

Totally up to you! We recommend choosing a flight that arrives into CHS by 4:00p on Thursday 4/30. This will allow you have plenty of time to get to the hotel & settled before our Welcome Party!

Can I bring my Kids?

Due to venue capacities, the entire weekend is an adults-only celebration. Thank you so much for making arrangements to celebrate with us!

Can I bring a guest?

Please refer to your individual invitation for details regarding attendance. If a plus-one has been extended, it will be clearly indicated on the invitation envelope & RSVP card. Due to venue capacities, we are unable to accommodate anyone not already listed.

Is the Wedding inside or outside?

Our ceremony will take place inside the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. The cocktail hour & reception (including dinner) will take place outside at the William Aiken House.

What about the Welcome Party?

Our welcome party will also fully be outside. We are excited to take advantage of the warm Charleston weather!

What will the weather be like?

In May, the average temperature in Charleston, typically ranges between a high of 84°F to a low of about 63°F. May is considered an ideal time to visit it is warm but not yet humid and hot! It's also the driest month of spring - fingers crossed for no rain on our weekend!!

What should I wear for the Wedding Day?

We kindly ask and encourage you to wear Black-Tie attire. This means long, formal dresses or gowns for women and dark colored suits or tuxedos for men. Please refrain from wearing short dresses (cocktail or sundress), jeans/shorts or light colored suits & pants. What should I wear for the Welcome Party?

Cocktail Attire please! For ladies, a short, fun dress will be perfect. For men, we ask that you wear pants & a button down with the option for a sport coat/blazer.

What time should I get to the Church?

Please arrive at the Cathedral between 2:30 - 2:45p to allow us to start promptly at 3:00p. The Cathedral will not be open for seating prior to 2:30p.

Will there be parking?

There will not be any designated parking available at both the Church & the William Aiken. Please utilize Uber/Lyft to get to the Cathedral.

Can I take pictures during the Ceremony?

Please refrain from taking photos throughout Mass. In the Catholic faith, Marriage is considered to be a Holy Sacrament & we kindly ask you to respect the sanctity of the ceremony. Our photographer will capture all the special details & we will be sure to share after!

Is there a break between the Ceremony & Reception?

Nope! We will immediately go to the William Aiken House to start cocktail hour once mass is ended.

How will we be getting to the William Aiken House?

We will have 2 trolleys to take our guests from the Cathedral to the William Aiken House. Each trolley will make multiple trips to accommodate all of our guests.

What if I drove to the Church? Do I need to take the trolley?

No, you do not have to take the trolley, however, it is preferred & will be more fun. :) There is NO parking at the William Aiken House.

What if I have food allergies/dietary restrictions?

Please indicate as such on the back of your RSVP card. If you have any concerns or need additional accommodations, please reach out to the contacts listed below.

What if I dont drink?

No worries! We will have a mocktail signature drink option & Zero Brut offered all night. :)

What is the Beach Party?

This is a casual, fun day at the beach for us all to relax! We will have an area with some chairs + umbrellas. We will also have some snacks + beers/seltzers. Please bring your own towel & any additional beverage you would like! Feel free to come & go as you please.

Where do we go for the Beach Party?

Please use the Windjammer/Coconut Joes IOP as your reference point. We will be in between the two locations.

What should we do if there are road closures?

Please plan accordingly and give yourselves plenty of time. Maps will be able to direct you with the best route. :)

How do I RSVP?

When you receive your invitation, please fill out the RSVP card & mail it back to Matthew + Francesca in the pre-stamped envelope. We do not have an online RSVP option.
